OMG!!

So I borrowed a few pictures from Kathleen's photo album because once I saw them I just had to share them with everyone! Call me crazy if you want...but OMG Luca is the spitting image of John ...and I think William looked like Alex when he was born.I just wish I had better photos so you all could see what I see... Luca

One week...

A smile caught just in time (he actually already laughs in his sleep...at what I have no idea!)

John and William getting ready to head outside

Well we made the the first week...whew. Although I do admit I had a minor melt down Friday. John went back to work and left me alone with the boys, and William decided around 11:30am he was going to do the opposite of whatever I said. Including (but not limited to...)unfolding all of the laundry I had just folded, throwing cheerios on the newly vacuumed floor and smashing them, and while I was breastfeeding launching everything he could get his hands on at me and Luca (I'm convinced I was the intended target). So I called John after 12 just to ask him to talk to William, but I was so frazzled by that point John just said he was coming home. By the time John got home I had managed to feed both kids and get them to lay down for naps...which I desperately needed too. However, William then sat up and noticed daddy was home...so no more nap. Of course my astute husband carted William outside to play and insisted I get some sleep...yeah! I love my husband, a wise man indeed...I woke up in a much better mood.

So remind me of something ladies....when well I feel rested again? I wake up in the morning exhausted, need a nap by 1pm latest before I collapse, and another one by 7...sheesh. I don't remember being this tired with William...hmm.

13 Minutes

So I read over the official report from Kaiser. It says that stage 2 of labor started 13 minutes before Luca arrived on the scene. I know they say that the second time around is faster but WOW...13 minutes is just insane. My admit time was 1:10pm, and he arrived at 2:48pm...sheesh. It seemed like forever to me but I guess I was wrong very wrong. It kinda makes me wonder what the Kaiser report says about William's birth.

In other news the boys are doing well. Luca just eats, sleeps and poops...while William has been stuck to John like glue which is OK with me. It gives me a break at least until John goes back to work.

PS The result of Luca's quick arrival...my eye is killing me. It feels like there is soap in it. I took the pic below a 2 days ago and if it's even possible it looks worse now than before...ugh.

William and Luca

*ignore the bloated/swollen cow that pushed him out*

He's here...

Well finally our newest addition has arrived .... so here are his stats:

Luca Aurelius Ancheta

7lbs 2oz

18.5"

Born 3/21/09 at 2:48pm

It happened so fast I didn't have enough time for any pain management....ugh. It was horrible I thought I was going to pass out. After Luca exploded into the world (after all there is no other real way to describe it) I went numb all over and collapsed onto the bed. Then the nurses busied themselves with cleaning me up so the doctor could make any necessary repairs. I could barely move and they kept asking me to lift my bottom or move my legs....argh.

Anyway...I have soo much to blog about it's not even funny, but I think I'll be taking a little break to get into a routine, and adjust to taking care of 2 under 2.

no baby yet....

So as some of you may know, there were some complications. Our little man decided he wanted descend before my body was ready....So he was in front of and below where he needed to be. SO after some chiropractic care and sitting on an exercise ball for a bit each day, he is now in position! Yeah!! Yesterday my doc said anytime, "make sure your bag is packed". So tonight, tomorrow...who knows, certainly not me.

In other news..... WE"RE HOME!!!! the last of the work was completed yesterday, now John is busy at work in our kitchen changing the light to accommodate our beautiful new kitchen. We have a new faucet, new tile counter tops, new flooring, refinished cabinets, and fresh paint. So of course John wants to make it a little more flattering by adding under cabinet lighting and new outlets (no more unplugging the coffee maker to use the can opener!) I'll post photos when everything is where it should be. Right now it's like we're moving in all over again....ack!

Labor has begun....

Well lets just say the process has started...I'm already dialated (started Thurs.) and I lost my plug Sunday. Now is the time to start betting as to when he will arrive. And if you're wondering yes we are still technically homeless. The workers started the reconstruction process, but it seems like they are taking their sweet time. They were completing the walls of the master bedroom all last week, but were sent back out today to re-paint the bedroom because their supervisor was not happy with their original paint job. Thank God because I totally agree! It was horrible it looked like they rushed through it when I know they spent from 8am to 3:30pm at the house. I just want to go home, and so does John.
