Beach photos

So we knew it was going to be sweltering in Bakersfield Sunday so we hit the road bound for Pismo Beach where it was supposed to be in the 80's and sunny... it wasn't. So the following are some of the pictures I took...enjoy!

John taking William towards the water
John turning his back on William so he could stop and remove his shoes...

I didn't keep a photo record of what happened next I was in too much shock...my poor baby. William of course walked into the water then was promptly knocked over by the smallest wave and overtaken by it. He was soaked within minutes of our arrival. And silly me I only brought one change of clothes and his swimsuit which John insisted he wouldn't need because they weren't going into the water. So into his swim clothes he went for the rest of the day until we left... then I put him in his extra romper for the trip home.

So once William was dried a bit and warmed up he got down to business
(I love this action shot of William digging and launching sand everywhere!)
And found a playmate named Zackary, incidently also from Bakersfield visiting Pismo with his Uncle who I know from swimming... lol what are the chances?!?
And for his first beach trip Luca was asleep! I guess while we were lugging the stroller through the sand Luca was lulled to sleep.. he was knocked out LOL!

After ample playtime... we moved onto Margo Dodd Park in Shell Beach(which was where John and were married)
The gazebo where we said our vows

Where we found birds... tons of birds...

From the Gazebo we walked over to Dinosaur Caves Park which has a pretty interesting history you can read about it here. And William quickly commenced climbing on anything and everything possible.

And Luca slept... who can blame him, he was snuggled in next to my heart

From the park we were off to the Rock & Roll Diner for dinner before headed back to Bakersfield...where SURPRISE Luca was awake (of course he was awake I was trying to eat dinner!)

Ketchup anyone?

Adios ... we're headed home

And soon after we left all was quiet and peaceful in the back seat

Wondering

So I'd like to know your opinion of this ... I found it posted on www.perezhilton.com.

Kate Gosselin Loses It With Kids

Kate Gosselin is beginning to crack!!!

Either that or she really does love being in the tabloids.

Photogs captured Kate losing her temper with one of the sextuplets, Leah, on Saturday morning. As Kate was on the phone, Leah was blowing a whistle. After Kate asked her to stop, Leah blew on the whistle again and Kate became enraged.

She rose from her seat, came over, and spanked the little girl! In front of the cameras!

A witness tellsInTouch, "The girl was screaming and crying. Kate just pushed her away and walked off with her coffee. Her older sisters were trying to make Leah feel better.”

Oy, not a good move, Kate. Doesn't help your image at all, since your trying to avoid being labeled an abusive parent.

Of course, in light of this news, the experts had to be called in to see if this was a serious offense on Kate's part. Though there is no laws against spanking and the parental community is divided on the practice.

In a public statement, Kate stands firm behind the feeling that how she disciplines her children in public or private is her decision.

We do think Kate should have thought about those damn cameras before reacting the way she did.

What do U think about Kate's reaction?

So personally I don't want to be one of those parents that spanks because if I were to spank...I think it would be coming from a place of anger. And I definately do not want to spank because I've lost my temper. That being said I'm not against punishment I just think that a parent should have the right frame of mind when dispensing the chosen form of punishment... so they don't lose control. Now with Kate G. she's had such bad publicity lately I don't think she can afford to spank her children in public especially after the pre- interview incident with Mady... (see link below) Fellow Mommies weigh in please I would love to hear what you think.

So John took the state electricians exam and passed...he is now a licensed electrician.

How well do you know me?

So I saw this posted somewhere else...I'm supposed to take the first 10 songs from a playlist of my choice(my gym playlist) and give the first 2 lines of each song and you guess the song to prove how well you know me.

1. "Super Trooper lights are gonna find me,but I won't feel blue..."

2."I used to rule the world, Seas would rise when I gave the word..."

3."You could have knocked me out with a feather, I know you've heard all this before but we're just hell's neighbors..."

4. "What's with these homies dissing my girl? Why do they gotta front?"

5. "I'll take you home if you don't leave me at the front door (leave me at the front door), your body is cold but girl we're getting so warm..."

6. "Oh Mickey you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind..."

7. "Cheater cheater where'd you meet her, down at Ernies Bar? Did she smile your way twirl her hair and say how cute your dimples are?"

8. "I wake up every evening with a big smile on my face, and it never feels out of place..."

9. "I was there when the men came and told us all the news, father forgive them for they know not what they do..."

10. "I am driving, I am late for work spilling coffee down my whitest shirt..."

***Bonus***
"They've got shiny cars and polished nails, yeah those girls they've got everything right"

Good luck!
