Sick, sick, sick...

That's right we are all sick! William got it first...where and how I have no idea. Then John and I woke up on Saturday sick as can be. We both had a sore throat on Friday but Saturday it was like a congestion expolsion in our heads. It figures just as William was starting to feel better we get sick...typical. Oh and to top it all off I took William to the pediatrician on Tuesday last week and she said..."it's just allergies". Well as you all know, we have EVERY allergen known to man at our house so I was shocked and positive she had to be wrong! Turns out I was right.... you can't catch allergies..duh. No wonder William was so upset, my throat is sore I am congested and runny all at the same time....ugh.

Sick William....

Sick Daddy...

In other news it seems like William has started doing everything at once....playing by himself and sitting up on his own(June4th)
crawling on his hands and knees (June 8th) swim lessons...blowing bubbles & kicking his feet (June 9th) pulling himself up onto everything (June 11th) Standing on his own with the support of anything he manages to get ahold of (June 12th)and of course walking while hold mommy or daddy's hands(but he's been doing that for quite awhile now).

Oh and here is his pouty face... I was trying to get him to wave at me last night on video or shake his head "no" which he started on June 4th as well...lol

Late night call....

So last night my mom called after 1am to tell me my dad was on his way to the hospital in an ambulance... scary. I was so freaked out I jumped out of bed and scrambled around trying to find something to wear which in turn scared William awake. He was screaming and I was terrified I was going to lose my daddy. All I kept thinking was that I wasn't ready for him to go. It's making me cry right now just to think of it....I couldn't sleep at all last night... So my thought now is tell your loved ones how much they mean to you because you never know....

As an after thought I didn't even need to go to the hospital...he was seen really fast and I was able to talk to him on the phone and reassured me he was fine, it turns out he has Kidney stones. So just pray for a speedy recovery and that he passes them as painlessly as possible.

Ouch

Knee surgery.... whew what a pain in the knee. So I had surgery on friday morning in L.A...and was home by 1pm. Amazing how fast arthroscopic surgery is. I have four holes in my knee, and a whole lot of swelling. It seems like forever since I've left the house. I can't do anything which is driving me insane. I'm dependent on crutches again which makes housework or tend to William impossible. To top things off John went back to work on Tuesday, so both William and I are crawling anywhere we can...him on all fours me on my butt (I guess it's more of a scoot for me). Very difficult, but I do get some help...yesterday my friend Meridith came over and took care of William and some housework....and today my brother came over for a few hours to help. Not too mention my mom driving me to the hospital, the follow up doctor appt. and back home again. But enough about me....William crawls when he has his sights set on something he wants, is able to pull himself into a standing position, and finally slept through the night without eating....and without crying to be with us. Yes that's right in his bassinet all night long. Which is good for me because he rolls all over during the night....he takes up more of the bed than John and I do.

Anxious

Eggh my knee surgery is this Friday... pre-op at 5am and surgery at 7am... blech I feel sick.....but I know it's necessary as my knee has been getting progressively worse. Yesterday it gave out while I was walking around in the backyard and I fell while holding William! I was in a lot of pain but was more worried about him...his head snapped backwards when I fell although I managed to turn in such a way that he didn't hit the ground...whew. But I got him checked out anyway ...he was just fine. In need of chiropractic adjustment but other than that just fine.

25 Weeks

William is now 25 weeks old...it's going by so quickly! He's still teething ...the little buggers creep up almost break the skin and then promptly go away. My mom bought him a new toy a 360 degree walker/ toddler table. It keeps him occupied long enough for me to get a few things done around the house...which is good.
He loves bathtime and starts kicking before his feet even touch the water! Getting him in is no problem at all...but taking him out is another story all together!

::sigh::It's going by so quickly...

A "Solid" Day

So we started William on solids today. ::Sniffle:: I didn't want to, but ..he's been grabbing my food and trying to eat it...so I figured it was time. He told me in his own way he was ready and I reluctantly listened. John and I took turns feeding him the rice cereal, and I don't know how he managed it but by the time John was done feeding him he had rice cereal in his hair, eyelashes, and nose. At one point John said "Oh no it's in his eye!" Now how he got the stuff in William's eye is beyond me but he did.::Sigh::
As some of you might know I finally received the ok from Workers Comp Insurance to have my knee surgery, to repair the damage from the accident in April of 2005.... 3 long years. Now May 9th is rapidly approaching, and I'm worried how William will take it. He usually nurses himself to sleep every night, but after the surgery I won't be able to nurse him for at least 3 weeks. I'm hoping solids will help a little. Anyway I'm kinda nervous, but more for how my little boy will handle going essentially cold turkey from the nip. He'll drink from a bottle once in awhile, but usually gets his milk straight from the source. Any tips?
